Most NFL fans expected Wagner to spend several years in Los Angeles after he signed a five-year contract with Sean McVay and defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.
Instead, the Rams and Wagner have agreed to part ways after just one season, with the Rams desperately needing to clear cap room after a disappointing post-Super Bowl season.
What Is Bobby Wagner’s Salary?
Bobby Wagner’s total cash for 2022 was $6.5 million, only $1.5 million of which is base salary.
The five-year, $50 million deal included a $5 million signing bonuses and $20 million in guarantees. He was set to make $11 million in total cash in 2023, 2024, and 2026, and $10.5 million in 2025.
Wagner is nowhere near the highest-paid NFL players for 2022, nor is he anywhere near the list of highest-paid NFL linebackers.
