NL East Odds
TEAM | RECORD | HANDLE | ODDS |
---|---|---|---|
Mets | 72-39 | 40.3% | -1000 |
Braves | 65-46 | 29.8% | +800 |
Phillies | 61-48 | 26.5% | +5000 |
Marlins | 49-60 | 1.9% | N/A |
Nationals | 37-75 | 1.6% | N/A |
The Mets have had a very good season and kept the Braves at bay in the NL East. The Braves are leading the NL Wild Card standings, so they are likely to make it into the postseason. The Phillies are also still in the conversation, as they are currently in second place when it comes to the Wild Cards.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Nationals have accepted a rather brutal defeat this season and cleaned house before the trade deadline. The Marlins and Nationals are both essentially out of it now.
NL Central Odds
TEAM | RECORD | HANDLE | ODDS |
---|---|---|---|
Cardinals | 60-49 | 49.9% | -175 |
Brewers | 59-50 | 36.1% | +135 |
Reds | 44-65 | 3.1% | +100000 |
Cubs | 44-65 | 8.3% | +100000 |
Pirates | 44-66 | 2.7% | +100000 |
The Cardinals have taken over the Brewers to lead the NL Central, but the Brewers are still right on their heels. Milwaukee is currently in fourth place for a Wild Card spot, so there is very little room for error if they don’t want to be knocked out of contention.
The Cubs and Reds have largely accepted defeat this season and have turned their focus to rebuilding. And as for the Pirates? It has not been a good year.
NL West Odds
TEAM | RECORD | ODDS |
---|---|---|
Dodgers | 76-33 | N/A |
Padres | 62-51 | N/A |
Giants | 54-56 | N/A |
Diamondbacks | 50-59 | N/A |
Rockies | 49-63 | N/A |
The Dodgers are dominating the NL West, and they are such heavy favorites to win the division that they have been taken off the board. The Padres may be trailing by a decent margin, but they are holding onto the third Wild Card spot, so may play deeper into October than it seems right now. They acquired some serious players at the MLB Trade Deadline, so San Diego may be getting a burst of energy very soon.
The Giants, Diamondbacks and Rockies haven’t completely fallen apart by any means, but they are unlikely to make enough of a comeback to make it to the playoffs.
