  • The Lions are predicted to be -3.5-point favorites against the Seahawks.
  • Detroit is 9-3 SU at home dating back to last season but fell 37-31 to Seattle last year.
  • My prediction for MNF is this Amon-Ra St. Brown player prop.

For the second game of a Week 4 MNF doubleheader, the 2-1 Lions welcome the 3-0 Seahawks to Ford Field.ย

Seattle continued its winning streak to start the season with a convincing home win over the Dolphins. Now, they travel to face a Lions team they beat 37-31 in overtime last season.ย

Detroit avenged their Week 2 home loss against Tampa Bay with a 20-13 win over the Cardinals in Week 3. Dating back to last season, Detroit is 9-3 SU at home.ย

Hereโ€™s a look at the NFL betting lines and my Lions vs. Seahawks prediction.ย

Lions vs. Seahawks Odds

  • Detroit Lions Moneyline: -190
  • Seattle Seahawks Moneyline: +155
  • Game Spread: Detroit Lions -3.5 (-110)
  • Game Over/Under: 46.5 Points

Lions vs. Seahawks Prediction, MNF

My Lions vs. Seahawks prediction for Monday Night Football is Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 74.5 Receiving Yards (-120).ย

This is a great matchup for St. Brown, who caught six balls for 102 yards in last seasonโ€™s meeting against Seattle.

While Seattleโ€™s defense has changed significantly under Mike McDonald, their current metrics favor a strong performance from St. Brown.ย

Seattle plays zone coverage at the 15th-highest rate in the league. However, theyโ€™re 27th in defensive success rate in zone coverage, per PFF.ย ย

This season, 86.4% of St. Brownโ€™s receiving yards have come against zone coverage. Plus, he ranked third in PFFโ€™s receiving grades against zone coverage last season.ย

Of his 1,510 receiving yards last season, 78.1% came against zone coverage.ย

With Sam LaPorta banged up for Detroit and Jameson Williams far better against man coverage, expect St. Brown to prove the primary target for Jared Goff.ย

As a result, Iโ€™ll back him to clear this number for the third straight contest.
