Steelers vs. Cowboys Prediction, Odds, Pick: Week 5, SNF

Fresh off its first defeat of the season, the Steelers welcome the Cowboys to Pittsburgh for Sunday Night Football. 

Pittsburgh fell to Indianapolis in Week 4, ending a three-game winning streak. In good news for Mike Tomlin’s squad, they’ve won eight of the last nine at home following a road loss. 

The Cowboys have extended rest following a five-point win over the Giants on Thursday Night Football. However, they lost both Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence in the process. 

Here’s a look at the NFL betting lines and my Steelers vs. Cowboys prediction.

• Dallas Cowboys Moneyline: +115
• Game Spread: Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5 (-110)
• Game Over/Under: 44 Points

Steelers vs. Cowboys Prediction: Week 5, SNF

Based on critical injuries to the Dallas defense and Pittsburgh’s edge over the offensive line, my Steelers vs. Cowboys prediction is the Steelers Spread (-2.5, -110). 

Dallas has a rest advantage over the Steelers by way of playing on Thursday in Week 4. However, they also have two key injuries plaguing their defense. 

Both Micah Parsons (doubtful) and DeMarcus Lawrence (injured reserve) are likely out on Sunday. 

That hampers an already questionable Dallas defense against a weak Pittsburgh offensive line. 

If Dallas can’t get pressure, I question how their defense, currently 32nd in PFF’s defensive grades, holds up against the Steelers. 

Even if they do manage to play well, explain to me how Dallas’ offense accomplishes anything meaningful. 

Dallas’ offensive line is 21st and 24th, respectively, in pass- and run-blocking grades. Defensively, Pittsburgh leads the league in pressure grades. 

If Alex Highsmith returns, it will give the Cowboys’ rookie tackles nightmares against Highsmith and T.J. Watt. 

Take the Steelers so long as the spread stays under -3.
