There is something of a Stefon Diggs consensus among the ranks of the NFL fans. He’s a talented playmaker with incredible twitch. He’s also a clear diva who inevitably grows unhappy when the ball isn’t forced his way.
After crashing out in Buffalo and finishing a one-year rental in Houston, the aging 31-year-old is now on a fresh, three-year contract in New England, where he will presumably serve as the go-to playmaker in Drake Maye’s emerging offense.

In the long term, Diggs may very well grow unhappy again and look for another team. His contract is structured in a way that gives the Patriots a relatively easy out after one year.
In the short term, though, Diggs may be the infusion of talent an otherwise milquetoast Patriots offense badly needs during the transition to the Mike Vrabel era.
Stefon Diggs Contract
Stefon Diggs signed a three-year contract with the New England Patriots worth a total of $63.5 million.
The contract includes several performance incentives, including:
- $200,000 for every game he is active in 2025
- $500,000 for making the Pro Bowl
- $500,000 for 70 catches, plus an additional $500,000 for each interval of 10 additional catches, up through 100 catches
- $500,000 for 1,000 receiving yards, plus an additional $500,000 for each interval of 100 additional yards, up through 1,300 yards
Stefon Diggs Signing Bonus
Stefon Diggs received a signing bonus of $12 million when he signed with the Patriots in March.
Stefon Diggs Salary
Stefon Diggs will draw a base salary of $2.9 million in 2025, plus a workout bonus of $200,000 and a roster bonus of $1.6 million.
When factoring in his $12 million signing bonus, Diggs is scheduled to make a total of $16.7 million from his NFL contract in 2025 before factoring in any of his performance incentives.
Stefon Diggs Guaranteed Money
Stefon Diggs’ contract had $16.6 million in guaranteed money when he signed it. That includes his signing bonus, his full 2025 salary, and $1.7 million of his 2026 money.
