Despite being one of the teams not to make last year’s playoffs, the Minnesota Twins enter the new season as MLB odds favorites to win the AL Central. But their division rivals aren’t far behind them.

AL Central Betting Prediction 2025
According to the updated MLB odds market, my AL Central betting prediction is on the Tigers to win the division (+250) during the 2025 season.
The Tigers’ time is now, as they enter the upcoming season with plenty of momentum. Detroit was the hottest team in baseball after the trade deadline, and this roster projects to be even better.
Detroit now has more rotation depth behind Tarik Skubal, last year’s Cy Young winner. The Tigers are projected to have the ninth-best rotation in baseball, according to RosterResource.
The Tigers’ lineup has room for growth after ranking 29th in on-base percentage last year, but there is a lot to like in terms of promising young talent. Riley Greene could be a player who earns MVP votes after netting his first All-Star selection last year.
The Tigers are in position to win their first division title since 2014, which is why they are my favorite bet in this market entering 2025.
