  • The Colorado Rockies went 61-101 last year.
  • I predict Colorado will record the fewest wins in the majors in 2025.

The Colorado Rockies finished with 100-plus losses for the second straight season, going 61-101 in 2024. They have finished fifth in the National League West for three consecutive years.

Things are unlikely to change in 2025.

Hereโ€™s a look at the latest MLB betting market and my prediction for the Rockies ahead of the 2025 season:

Rockies MLB Odds 2025

Win Total: 59.5
NL West: +50000
NL Pennant: +25000
World Series: +50000

The Rockiesโ€™ MLB odds remain a long shot in 2025. Coloradoโ€™s win total is 59.5 for the second straight season. This team hasnโ€™t had a win total higher than 69.5 since 2019.

For comparison, check out this breakdown of Coloradoโ€™s preseason odds in recent years:

Rockies Depth Chart 2025

According to RosterResource, the Rockies will have a similar depth chart in 2025. This offseason, they signed infielders Thairo Estrada and Kyle Farmer.

Rockies Player to Watch in 2025

Nolan Jones is the Rockies’ player to watch heading into 2025, his fourth season in the majors.

ZiPS, a projection system at FanGraphs, has Jones to finish with a wRC+ of 101 this season. Heโ€™s the only Colorado batter expected to be above 100 in that metric.

Jones posted an OPS+ of 140 in 2023 during his first season with the Rockies after being traded by the Cleveland Guardians. The Rockies hope heโ€™s more that player and not the one that had an OPS+ of 75 in 79 games last year.

Rockies 2025 Betting Prediction

Based on the updated MLB odds market, I predict the Rockies will finish with the fewest wins in the majors during the 2025 season.

As of this writing, this market isnโ€™t available at the BetMGM online sportsbook, but I cashed a +500 ticket on the Chicago White Sox recording the fewest wins last year. The White Sox will likely be the betting favorites after setting a modern record for losses, but these teams could be closer than we expect this summer.

PECOTA projects Colorado to finish with 55 wins in 2025, the lowest mark in the majors. The White Sox are projected for 61.2 victories.

Clay Davenportโ€™s projections have Colorado finishing 57-105, worse than Chicagoโ€™s 60-102 record.

With the Rockies playing in a more competitive division, Iโ€™m betting on them to finish with fewer wins than the White Sox this year.

Prediction: Rockies to finish with fewest wins in MLB
