The Milwaukee Brewers continued to exceed expectations in 2024, finishing 93-69 on their way to a second straight NL Central title before losing in the wild card series.

Milwaukee has notched a playoff berth six times in the past seven years, but it has only one postseason series victory to show for it.

Here’s a look at the latest MLB betting market and my prediction for the Brewers for 2025:

Despite winning the division three times in the last four years, the Brewers’ MLB odds don’t make them the favorite in the NL Central in 2025. They trail the Chicago Cubs’ price of +110.

Milwaukee is getting more credit than last year’s preseason odds of +750 to win the division.

Brewers Depth Chart 2025

According to RosterResource, the Brewers didn’t make many changes to the depth chart after losing shortstop Willy Adames in free agency.

Milwaukee traded for Nestor Cortes for rotation depth, but the lineup remains similar to last year’s unit, which ranked 10th in wRC+.

Brewers Player to Watch in 2025

Jackson Chourio, the youngest active MLB player, is the player to watch on the Brewers in 2025.

Chourio, who turns 21 in March, finished third in the NL Rookie of the Year race last summer. He posted an OPS+ of 117 with 21 home runs, 79 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases.

Chourio is a star in the making, and the Brewers are counting on a big leap in his second season to help replace the loss of Adames in the lineup.

A fun market at BetMGM’s online sportsbook has Chourio as the favorite Jackson to hit the most home runs in 2025:

Brewers 2025 Betting Prediction

Based on the updated MLB odds market, I predict the Brewers will miss the playoffs (-125) during the 2025 season.

Projections never seem to believe in the Brewers; this year is no exception. FanGraphs gives Milwaukee a 34.7% chance of making the playoffs. PECOTA projects a 23.5% chance.

After believing Milwaukee was underrated last year (as my favorite win total bet), I will side with prognosticators in 2025. The NL Central figures to be more competitive this season.

The Brewers won the division by 10 games last year, but the Cubs and Cincinnati Reds improved in the offseason. The Pittsburgh Pirates have a potent pitching staff.

I’m skeptical Milwaukee will be able to replicate last year’s success, particularly if the lineup regresses after losing Adames. The Brewers’ pitching staff ranked 22nd in FIP last year. They also said goodbye to closer Devin Williams in the offseason.

The Brewers’ playoff run could end this year.
